This is the UA-cam page for our little club. Joe on his BMW 1150GS, Chris on his BMW HP2, Charles on his XChallenge 650, Henrik on the mighty DR650 and Jason and myself on the BMW F800GS. We started riding off-road in 2010 and decided to document our progress...failures and all. Mostly shot with a few GoPro Hero HDs and a Sony handheld. We will be posting ride reports as well as some technical how to's and a few product reviews.
Reminder - Riley and Ivan live with Dallas from the Traction eRag!

Maintenance Party 2 - Honda ST90!
Переглядів 1,1 тис.Місяць тому
Ivan, Fred and Riley were at Marc's lair to try and get the old ST90 Honda back to running condition. Many things were done and then redone many times. Coffee was boosted, wires were crimped and then soldered, tanks were hammered and hoses were applied to nipples by feel alone. There were setbacks but ultimately, the goal of lunch was achieved.

Visit our website apormc.com/ Find us on Facebook AwesomePlayers Ivan, Riley and Fred all headed over to Marc's new man cave/garage to try and help him resurrect an old Honda ST90. Marc laid out a nice spread with bagels, cookies and of course boost, even though Marc is normally aspirated. Marc bought the bike in pieces with nothing labelled and some parts missing. Just to make it ...

Maintenance Party '23. Rust, lube and fire!
Переглядів 2,5 тис.Рік тому
It is a spring tradition that the Awesome Players finally get off our Costco-fed arses and start doing all the maintenance we had planned to do over the winter. Ivan was once again bebe host. We start off with some boosted coffee. Fred shows up with his excellent homemade bread, still hot from the oven. To make it better he had the first batch of his Father's maple butter from their own sugar s...
Husqvarna 701 Electrical Troubles.
Переглядів 8 тис.Рік тому
After the Roaming Rally where there was a ton of water my Husqvarna 701 was running so well it wouldn't shut off! Initially thought it was the ignition switch but even when it was removed and the kill switch was in the off position the bike would still start. Turns out it wasn't the wet that was the issue but a short between two wires. Thankfully Player Ivan isn't scared by an electrical schema...

Another in our classic series of re-uploads. Chris, Jason and Riley head out for a little on-road ride. Everyone is rusty after a long winter so we decide to take it easy. Of course we end up deep in the woods climbing icy, muddy trails. Jason does a little damage to his 800 and his face but everyone makes it home.

They used to have a differential on the 2 wheels drive. Then you could use 2 wheel drive on the street.
EFI makes motorcycles run hot 🔥 🥵 as Hades. They are set up very lean mixture. Disc brakes take the same distance to stop as drum brakes. Duro makes good cheap tires. All the Russian parts are still working on the bike after 25 years. They should make a cheap version for more sales.
With URALs you either love them or you hate them. No middle ground. And that goes for sidecars in general. Lots of fun as a winter ❄️☃️ bike, but fun all year. Dogs and women love sidecars. With a big floof of a dog 🐕 in the chair people have to say hi and pet the 🐕 dog.
Oh crap!! Hard fall!! I hope he’s ok!!
Fred is all healed up and 100%.
@@AwesomePlayers Good to hear!
What a workout!!!
Great live stream, I always enjoy your videos👍
Thanks for coming
Awesome
It was a pretty great experience.
Now that was an adventure!
It was. To this day weird stuff still happens in that area.
Love you guys
Thanks.
Nice interview. You guys are the Best. I've been following your adventures for a long time. I enjoy every one of them!
Awesome! Thank you!
Missed you live but watching now. We have a great time riding together even though it can get quite challenging for someone 60’ish and outta shape but making you feel like a kid again. 🇨🇦🏍️
So true my friend. Plenty more adventures to come.
It's always great time when you are around.
When you guys are talking about the 250 there’s nothing wrong with a smaller bike sometimes I wish I had a little 250 to play with and practice. Just look at Riding With Tom his WR250 is 10 years old and he has 60 thousand Kilometers on it.
Exactly. If I lived out in the country I would have a little dirt bike for sure.
I can say that my 250 never disappoints and still bring a smile every time. It might not be the lightest 250 but it's a tough little work horse,
@@FredCharlebois I've seen it!
Hi guys I have a question when was your first video that was uploaded I’ve been subscribed since 2008
It was 13 years ago. May 4, 2010. Doesn’t seem that long ago.
Awesome Players are just that. Awesome. Thanks guys for doing this interview
Appreciate the comment. Cheers.
I´m sad i missed the Live stream but it was at 3 am here. I remember way back i watched your videos in 2011. so i took my f800 gs to the lokal sandpit. Still got my Sticker on my bike today :) I just got back from a TeT trip in poland with my friendes. And it all started with you guys back in 2011!
Had a lot of fun doing it.
This does bring back memories. I got my F700GS back in 2017 and was looking for some info online as i was a complete newbie riding such a big bike (for me) and i stumbled upon these "regular guys", became an instant fan and got inspired by them, managed to just go and enjoy the F700 instead of being scared to fall, etc. Thanks for such good inspiration and awesome videos!
That’s awesome.
Cool to see You live guys, valid topics!
Thanks bud.
Awesome to see this...! Cheers, keep Riding and having fun...!
Sounds like a plan. Cheers.
@@AwesomePlayers Thanks, say Hi to Hendrick from me, miss him in the videos...!
@@DavidAbyssalWill say hi to the boys for you.
Got a bottle of whiskey and a case of beer. All ready to go.
Preparation is key. Hope you enjoyed the show.
hey just want to know what other suspension upgrade did you do? and also, what was the justification for those mods?
The F800 had heavier springs in front and that was it. Suspension worked ok for me. I kept the speed down of if I felt the suspension getting overwhelmed.
@@AwesomePlayers did you have load in the back often when off roading? Like boxes or luggages etc.
@@Kaizi1005 I had a case with tools some little side bags. I should have put a heavier spring in the rear I just never did it.
Love you guy's.. keep on filming.!!!. 🙋!👍
Thanks man!

Hi Kotek. Greetings to you. Cheers.

Where did you get the rear tire, and what size is it?
I have asked Marc and will get back to you.

What about a 'where are they now' video for AP Alums that don't show up in the videos any longer? Henrik...Chris....etc.

Was wondering as well, thanks for sharing
my first motorbike was a honda 90, fun to see you all getting this one going. Hope to see it out on the trail soon! Fun video, thanks for posting!
I had a Kawasaki 75 mini bike. Faster than a CT70 but nowhere near the reliability.

thank you for sharing your experiences. i enjoyed the information. i have a big bmw 1150rs tour bike. i have always wanted a more adventurous bike like bmw650 dakar, but after watching your video, im sold on the 800gs. it's the bike that can do it all. AIRBORNE !
F800GS really is a great machine. Big enough to bang out some miles and decent on the dirt. They are also a very solid platform. We never had any major mechanical issues.

GoPros!!??? I thought these videos were shot with a DJI Ronin 4D 4-Axis Cinema Camera 8K Combo. What happened to pride and quality?
The booster does smooth out the motions since it gets rid of the shakes.
Its like motorcycle Jenga ,well done guys its good to see you back. BTW is Ivan actually Mark Plier (youtube) in disguise?
Nice to be back. Ivan is MP's stunt double but keep that on the QT.
Mark Plier? Edit: Nah he's just a copy of me with 222 561 times more subscribers, younger and more hair. 😂 I'm going to have to check out some his videos. What gets you 36.5M subscribers? ... don't answer that.

Hi Pinkie!
I would have to agree that these “Maintenance Booster Parties” are the best. Less riding and more fixing!! Take care AP gang.
Sometimes I think we do have more fun wrenching. Maybe the riding is just create maintenance?
